in May I cut my hair as short as I dared and stood before you with bared neck. and then suddenly I didn't anymore resemble the little girl who sat on your lap, looking up,
Since 2nd grade, thats how long it's been I haven't cut my hair since second grade It stretched it long luscious fingers down my back

I may not style it as often as you’d like But it was long, pretty and wavy. You loved it when I grew it out And you wanted me to keep it that way. But now I can’t maintain its beauty Nor its shine or shape.
