The light above begins fading
Ever so slowly.
The musty air keeps rushing past,
Screaming into your ears....
Conscious,
Born from paranoia and fear.
Useless,
In terms of survival of the fittest.
Harbinger,
Of failure, demise, and
Self-destruction...
That darkened haze covered her eyes,
Ablaze they were, with tears and fright,
Shocked, as though seeing the sun for a first,
And equally...
The titter tatter of glassy droplets fell upon my face,
Shattering across with coolness,
Bringing about a sense of joy, a true relaxation...
