Poems from fireflystorm
I've been writing for a while. I'm genderfluid, an atheist, liberal, pro-feminism, pro-choice, pro-philosophy.
you remind me of endless
saturday mornings and new
beginnings; sitting there,
retelling old stories
you remind me of
anything is...
we fell in love to the sound of
static on a stereo in the
bed of a ford pickup truck
watching the stars at night.
it was beautiful but...
what are you without
your tough skin?
a shell of a man,
there is nothing within.
certainly inside of me,
ever tried and true,
a little...
if you could teach the world to speak,
to speak for real, and not from their mind,
to use their hands and hearts and not
their mouths
...
the sun is high and heavy in the sky
sinking towards the horizon line.
and tonight's the first time in a long time,
i could speak to you...
