Poems from dustypoet
Sweet, sweet rest
Infinite sleep
As I close my eyes
To this world
For me do not weep
I'll have my rest
My dearest sleep
Sweet, sweet rest...
Prideful
He rose
Claimed
To be God
So he fell
Like lightning
Down to the earth
So now
He prowls
Like a
Roaring lion
Waiting to devour...
I see you
And you're hurting
From a pain
That you cannot share
I'm sorry
But it's killing
Me to be so near
Someone whose distress
Is as...
Why must every poet that I meet
Be the heart broke kind
That cannot weep?
The world churns them out
A dime a dozen
Too many of them to be...
Pen writing, writing, writing
On paper so blank
Words filling, filling, filling
Up all the lonely space
Words of love, happiness, thanks...
