I am a college Sophomore, looking to reach for the seemingly unattainable dream of pursuing a higher education. I am hopeful that my dream can be reached by taking risks that may not always leave me successful in the end. However, it is better to have taken a risk than to have never risked anything at all. I am ready to jump in with both feet to make this a reality, and to be able to encourage other middle class students that college is attainable, no matter the number of dollar signs that intimidate us looking at skyrocketing tuition rates. Education is worth the pursuit, and I am not willing to give up!

It’s hard to look myself in the face.
The mirror that looks back at me every morning,
With sights of crazy hair, droopy eyes,...
Beauty is fleeting,
But the definition of a single word,
Misunderstood by a culture
That blatantly declares
On the cover of every magazine...
