What's poppin'!? Call me Brejenn. I'm 18 and a student at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I have been writing poetry since I was little and reciting my biblical poems for programs at church. Now, my poetry holds a lot more weight than my youthful "God loves you, God loves me, we are a big family" church poems. I find that my poetry centers around my personal struggles and experiences particularly as a young black girl raised in the deep south. I look forward to all comments and feedback. I am a pro in no way, nor am I fluent in poetry types of professional pristine poetry characteristics.
