Lashed by cruel lovers
Destroyed by devoid heroes
I will climb and soar
Realization, I can’t find
Soon this sensation will pass
There he stands waiting
For his cold distant savior
Eager and restless
His poisonous gift arrives
Dealer and dealt never change
A burst of light
Breaks demure clouds,
Scorches fine earth.
A merciless attack,
And infinite life succumbs.
Later and it’s gone.
I peer...
I don’t remember.
I try to remember.
Why remember
When the memories
Cut through my mind?
In a fog,
She’s gone.
Four years alive
And...
I am fearless
Very nearly so
Fearing only myself
And not my foes
I must accept
My inferior traits
My faults and shortcomings
So that I may...
