You don't realize that you've changed
The image in the mirror is the same
But inside you're different
Those around notice...
I hear America singing,
Melodically across the fifty states,
Heard above the sound of the birds chirping
Beyond the white picket fence....
I wear the mask to hide my inner self
To hide my savage side from society
The expectations weigh me down
To make me afraid to show myself...
