Poems from JustAJaybird
Keep your hair and clothes looking orderly.
When someone says you’re pretty “for a fat girl”, giggle.
Chewing gum
Like juicy fruit...
It’s been the dry season
For much too long
Everything is weathered
And withering
Except you.
One would think that
Even then, though...
Your hands
draw music from
the mute.
Whimpers and near
silent prayers,
murmurs from
below bubble and spill.
Waves crash
and the melody...
Narcissism. Bullshit. Love is beautiful. Love is strong and love is proud.
Why in the Now are we told we are nothing without love
but
not...
Pure. That's what they call me anyway. Like the snow that drifts lazily from
the sky to the earth.
One.
Two.
Three.
I fall. I drop. I flit...
