Poems from JESSICA.MARKOWITZ.923
I've written quite a lot of poems but I'm only going to upload my favorites to this site. If you'd like to read more from me visit you can visit: http://jmyearofpoetry.wordpress.com/
Words are vain things
They knock around the skull,
bash against the teeth-
Demand
to be freed
They want to dance
amongst ear drums,...
I have often felt my name
to be a poor fit
The sound is not round enough
long enough, punctuated, emphasized
The vowels do not follow...
Dirty streaks
across the sheets
from muddy little puppy feet
.
I’ll have to wash them
Bodies swaying back and forth
Warm wind flowing over and around
Drum beats vibrating inside and through
Everything is together and apart...
I didn’t see the sun rise,
Rather, I found myself delighted to behold
The dawn sweeping over your face
Bright golden highlights
Bursting...
