Raised me’s old old man
And a
Flag outside of my
Safest elementary classroom.
I am somewhere else
But...
I want a spinach
And mushroom and egg eomlette
To ease my screeching bones
When they groan and chafe against
Each other with each movement...
I am so thin
I am fragile
I am fading
This semester
Will not flow into my life so smoothly
These classes are my last and
It will hit me...
I have not given up.
But my life
Reflects the carcuss of a life
That was only once lived-
I sit here and think
