Poems from CH
Into the painted eyes
Gazing soulless and breathless
Well-deep but star-bright
Flickering firelight; Fluttering firefly
Stumbling...
It’s bad when time pauses
A split second in between laughs
A drop of doubt plinking into vast lakes
And it’s worse when you’re alone
Like...
Like Coffee
Tears & Sweat

Until
only
black Bitter black
Bitter black Bitter
Blackened dregs
remain.
Like a toothache,
a consistent angry ache;
a cavity in the cavity.
A soreness in the heart,
a malady without cure,
no prescription for...
Will;
carry on.
With,
how?
Whom;
without me.
A lengthening tunnel
endless and limitless.
Regardless of my speed,
feet slipping away...
