You've Probably Heard This Story Before

Location

You've probably heard that I am more than just me

That I can control the elements and fly

I am the queen that will change a dystopia into a utopia

A survivor of the long feared end

Destruction of the enemy

The key

You've probably heard my stories before

You probably haven't

I embrace the good and the bad to create a world others want to live in

Create a life for another, that I want to be my own

Will one day shock and inspire those with doubts that such a dreamer could succeed the way I did

You've probably never heard my words before

They stay hidden, locked away until they are ready to leave their home

Hiding bits and pieces of a true person you used to look through

Trying hard to surface problems of the society and modern world into the minds of those who read them

While using a story of those around you to catch your attention

Until a day when you will listen to them

You've probably never heard this story before

What a struggle it is to be different

To be stuck in the lives of those pieces of me, in their own lives, with their own minds

The difficulty of creating something I accept and my audience will love

Trying my limits until I reach the end

Fighting with the thought of not being good enough

Waiting for the day to let go, take a risk

You've probably heard this story before

I began my passion when I was young

My bag was always stuffed with a book and journal

My dream has been noticed and practiced on

I see all around me potential in a voice of a character

I fantasize of success

And one day I hope to be the voice that drives strangers and family alike

No matter what voice it sounds like to them
