Yourself.
They say the worst damnation is the one you bring upon yourself. They say the loneliest life is the one brought on by yourself. Any problem you may have is ten folds worse when you are the reason for their being no answer. Your stubbornness shall be your downfall and when that happens nothing you do can bring you up. What chance do you have to forget when green eyes of piercing strength haunt you. What chances do you have to heal when those words lash your heart each day.
The worst part of it all is that you brought it upon yourself. You could have had happiness, in the form of the best person you will ever meet. Your stupidity, your naivety, and your immaturity keep you from seeing that you also need to work in a relationship. She had needs, but childness made you forget to fulfill them. How simple it would have been had you only gave her the attention she needed, the attention she deserved.
You’ll try your hardest to forget her, you’ll eventually meet someone who for some foolish reason falls for you. Someone who deserves the love of someone other than you, someone not damned to never forget. They deserve better than having you use them as a way of forgetting. You say you love them, but it has lost its meaning, it has lost its power, its beauty. After awhile they can see that your heart is elsewhere, but they don’t care. They don’t care if you have her on your mind, they only care about your well-being and your happiness. The farce you have been living is evident only to those who care, but no amount of jokes can you say that will make the pain go away.
You know it was your stupidity that caused her to leave, but it was your soul that made someone fall in love with you. Your heart is in emotional turmoil because you can’t forget those green eyes, even when there is someone trying to be your brown-eyed girl. Now what will you do? Will you try and forget her and be with someone who loves you, even if it means never being 100 percent there; or will you stop and tell someone how you feel and chase after her. Either way someone will end up hurt.
