Your savior

She came to school one day

She had chocolate wavy hair

It went all the way down to her hips

She had friends

But they were just school friends

She was pretty shy

She was always happy though

So positive

I found myself attracted to her

I sat by her in most classes

One day when she came to school her

Arms were bruised more than

Anything I've ever seen

I asked her what happened

She said she played sports

She fell and got tackled during practice

The next day she wore longer sleeves

But her face a week later had a

Bruise right on her eye

She fell off her bed in her sleep

She said she was clumsy

Days later she limped to class

I asked one more time

She said she tripped on the stairs

Then she raised her hand and her back

Showed

Bruised everywhere

I grabbed her wrist after school and pulled

Her close

I'll make sure they never hurt you

A single tear formed on her cheek

She kissed me and said

I'm being abused

I sighed and said

I am too
