Everyday is a war
A battle to live
Because when I go to school they create a new stab wound
Dyke, Scarface, geek, pimple face
I’ve been called them all

You look at my forehead and see the scar that stretches across it
Instead of looking at the story of how I got it
The car accident in ’99, when I lost my mom
Our car flipped over and I almost died
Instead I’m alive and was forced to watch my dad cry

Dyke this Dyke that!
Why would you get that hair cut you ask me?
I’m not a boy I’m a girl, I have to be a certain way
You assume I’m gay because I look this way
So can I assume by how you dress that you’re a spoiled brat?

You call me a geek because I watch too much TV
Or read a book with too many words
But really I just seek comfort in the characters
The ones that are heroes and sidekicks, who wipe my tears
The one’s that I shed because of what you said.

Pimple face is your favorite because it’s the one thing I can control.
I can make my zits go away with a little soap
But you wouldn't know how hard that can be
With your flawless beauty that’s only skin deep.
I can make these zits go away, but you’ll always be mean.

I hoped you learn something today
That I will move on with my life, graduate and leave
But you’ll be stuck with all the guilt you caused
And I’ll be in college getting my degree
While you’ll be down the street, wishing you were different.
