YoungBlood

You grab the trigger before even grabbing a glimpse
You grab your balls before even getting a grip

You have anger built in

You swear you’re dangerous

With heat on your side

And a shell as well
Without that shell we see your fear

Without that shell you can’t take a life

You grab the trigger before even grabbing a glimpse

Of who should be downed

You downed your own brother

You downed your own sister

You downed your future partner

You downed your future lover

You claim it’s different when the white man does it

You say he’s the man when he does it

I swear you kids have been stripped and teased

Brain-washed and seized

Sick and diseased
Rolled-over and unpleased

Wounded and domesticated

Spat on and estimated

So

You grab that gun

And oust one your own

All because that hurt came from home

Took that freedom

Freedom is between concrete and grass

Your future and your past

Your pinky and thumb

His air and the grass
