You Chose Her

It's days like today when everything's just a little bit harder
I'm constantly pricked with little reminders of a past life
The breeze on a walk with an old friend whispers our memories
Each step I take echoes a syllable of your name
An-drew Tuck-er, An-drew Tuck-er, An-drew Tuck-er
I force myself to focus on what is in front of me
A sidewalk, a sprinkling of trees, a gray sky
But also a life that could've been
And then I watch you walk hand-in-hand with her
Flaunting what you settled for - as if you have a reason to be proud
As if that single continuous fight could possibly have earned the title of love
That's not love, that's familiarity, and frankly that's abuse
But nonetheless, you chose her
And today I can't stop remembering that
And today I can't stop feeling that
And today I just can't stop
