You can't see me

I am tall

Kind of like a wall;

Always in the way

Never asked to stay.

You can't see me

Hidden inside the image you think I be;

You've decided who I am

Based on your own, made-up exam.

I am happy

Appear a bit chatty;

Underneath it all

Am I really having a ball?

You can't see me

Hidden inside the image you think I be;

You've decided who I am

Based on your own, made-up exam.

I am enthusiastic

Always fairly sarcastic;

For how else can I appear

Without receiving a leer?

You can't see me

Hidden inside the image you think I be;

You've decided who I am

Based on your own, made-up exam.

I am respectful

Try not to be ungrateful;

It's not like I can misbehave

For I can never fully evade.

You can't see me

Hidden inside the image you think I be;

You've decided who I am

Based on your own, made-up exam.

I am a face

Surrounded by lace;

Trying to survive

Barely still alive.
