You Can By: Alexandria Brooks

When somebody tries to
Knock you down
Or tries to tell you
You’re not good enough
If they try to make you feel small
Or tell you that
You can’t accomplish anything at all
Don’t believe a word they say
Just turn and walk away
And remember you can
You can fight
Through anything
You can follow your dreams
You can be the champion
Whenever people knock you down
Walk away and turn around
And remember you can
Every tear that you’ve shed
All those nights
And every hurt you’ve felt
Deep down inside has been
Making you stronger each day
Even though
All you’ve felt is the pain
Don’t buy into the lies
Just know you can do anything
Your heart desires
And remember you can
Everyone is unique
In their own way
Cause God made
No one the same
Don’t let anyone
Get in the way of your dreams
Can’t you see that-
You can fight
Through anything
You can follow your dreams
You can be the champion
Whenever people knock you down
Walk away and turn around
And remember- You can
