you are too fragile

Sweet chocolate eyes
Burn me,
Wound me.

Your voice is so soft,
It only makes my heart worry.
You are too fragile,
I think.

Your body viciously disagrees with my thought,
But the way you pinch my cheeks
And your twinkling laugh
Give my mind enough reassurance
To be sure of what it speaks.

I want to hold you,
With your warmth and smooth skin.
I want to sing to you,
As you do for me.

I want to love you,

like you

endlessly do me.

But i am only just strong enough
To cradle you softly as you sleep.
I have a voice full of insecurity and it shakes as i whisper
To you.

I am broken,
My lips do not speak the words i long to say
And my legs do not yet know
How to tangle with yours softly.
