You are an Old Book

You are an old book

Underappreciated often

Worn out

But I’ll take you off my shelf religiously

To run my fingers across dog-eared pages

And smell memories as they fly off the paper

Most do not notice

The worth sewn into you

The soul lingering in your cracked spine

The love in your torn cover

The passion hidden under folds in pages

And the importance of each underlined word
