You Are the Beauty I See Around Me

Now that you are gone, the heavens seem happier,
And the earth seems sad.
But soon the sea with reflect the sky,
And the sun will warm the land.
In ever changing light and shadow,
I know you never left.
Otherwise the sun would never rise,
And the moon would never shine.
When the stars begin to blink,
I know this world is all too sweet.
We are always together,
Our connection is strong.
So strong, we could move the tides,
And make the moon jealous.
So deep our love as the sea,
Where the whales could swim free.
Deeper still, in space and time,
So the stars got lost in our minds.
And reflected millions more in our eyes.
I found myself in your dreams,
And you will live in mine.
You are the sunshine that makes the flowers bloom,
And melts the snow in spring.
Like Persephone, you will return,
Before your beauty is called to doom.
In the night, when all is quiet,
You will wake up the world.
You could never replace the sun,
For even the stars cannot compare to you.
One day, we ventured in the caves,
With you, I was on top of the world.
The underground crystals were more beautiful,
As they reflected your smile.
I bid farewell, and hope you are well and fair.
And I will see you again,
Where the river meets the ocean,
And mountains touch the sky.
When time has stopped, then has no limit,
When we had just began to fly,
And landed safely in the sky.
