You Already Know

You favorite him, you favorite her

Just because they have something others don't

I don't understand

I worked just as hard, why don't I deserve that recognition?

I get it.

I get it.

It's because of me.

No... not me.

It's because of what you see.

I don't look like them. I don't have a reputation.

I'm sort of no one in this hell

But if you could just take a second, maybe you'll see something different

Give the chance to a younger girl who's been waiting forever

I know my purpose, I ackowledge my existence

But guess who doesn't? You don't.

In a pile of diamonds, I was the plastic gem.

I stood out, but I wasn't valuable enough.

I can do it. I know I can. I wish you'd acknowledge that.

You are the leaders, so lead us.

Equality and recognition is what we need.

So let it be, let us all be gems. I beg of you.

Authoirty or not

We are all human beings that deserve a shot.
