You

You were a stranger.

A soul far off.

I did not know you.

I did not know your thoughts,

You were but a mystery

like all the souls I don't know.

But unlike most of them

Yours has touched me so.

You were a question

I'd ask myself at times

What you were to be to me

and what would come to be.

I'd question your character

and mutter about your ways.

But something in you caught my attention

i just couldn't look away.

Than while grasping at courage.

I took a great leap.

And jumped out of shadows

to tell you a peep.

Hello, I said and from that we have not stopped.

You changed in my mind,

and took shelter in my heart.

You are my bestest friend.

The one I prayed to find.

College is good for one thing,

than losing every dime.

You have made it easy,

my burden feels so light.

a friend like you is precious.

I am glad to call you mine.

You will one day be the godmother

to one of my beloved children.

One day we shall be neigbors,

I hope from this day in.

One day you'll make my kids smile,

as I shall do for yours.

You are the greatest gift I hae ever recieved.

And I know I'll only love you more.

You used to be a stranger,

a mystery at every turn. But now you are my sister,

my soul's twin, my friend.
