Yes and Amen
Confusion is wracking my brain
Am I going insane?
Or is this the way things are
I can find no hope in here
All I feel is fear
That any moment this world is going to...
Collapse around me as I look on
Unable to run or hide
But in You, every promise has been fulfilled with "Yes!"
A Yes that echoes through ages
Now it's echoing through my mind
At last, now I can find
Peace
A thousand uncertainties are biting my heels
As I fall on my knees my thoughts start to reel
In countless directions seeking to find
A way out of this prison that I have contrived
But in You, every Promise is Yes
There is no second-guessing or looking back
There is no hesitancy or shifting sands
Only You, holding my hand
But who are You?
When it seems promises are unfulfilled
As turmoil keeps me from standing still
In Your presence
Are you stilling holding us in Your hands?
Provider, Healer, Banner, Savior, Redeemer, Friend, Life-Giver,
Sustainer, Heart-Changer, Immanuel
In You, Yes has come
Resounding loudly like a trumpet blast on the highest hill
It drowns the doubts I've fed that You have aimed to kill
Now faith is restored
Now I say Yes to Your promises and Yes to who You are
I rejoice in Your Yes
And echo it with my life
Lifting my Amen as an offering in response to what You have done
And to what You have promised
My answer can only be...
Yes!
