I'm starting to realize

I never just see myself

in characters I love

there's always at least a small fragment of some beloved

but I don't like to say it

since I often fall for characters

who are varying levels

of insane and pathetic

so I'll tell you this much

in those fictional darlings

who have my heart

due to you also

having my heart

more often than not

I see myself as their weaknesses

and you as their charms

so I hope you see this

as the odd fractured compliment it is
