Worth Fighting For

Mon, 06/12/2017 - 22:13 -- jxxh

Raven black hair, long and beautiful

A rosy flush of dimpled cheeks,

When will my refletion show who I am inside?

Grab the scissors, cut the hair,

Ride off into the night,

The world dishonor is not in your vocabulary.

You need not a prince to show you how strong you are,

Muscles sore, Body tense, Mind racing against the morning sky,

Change the way you think about what you can do.

Your name may mean magnolia,

But you are not a delicate flower,

How will you show your thoughts are true?

Climb high,

Don't give up,

Be the warrior you know you are.

When they tell you a woman cannot fight,

throw your fists up into the night,

Use what you know to show them who has control.

Free yourself from gender stereotypes,

Wield your sword against those who dare defy you,

Dance with the devil, till he falls from exhaustion.

You are more than a princess of the modern day woman,

Show them that fear is nonexistant,

and that no man, or monster can conquer the Queen

Wow a feministic motivating poem In tomboyish fashion. Enjoyed the girl power content and super rhyming. But don't chip that long hair ah.  Thumbs up.

Thank you very much. I wanted to go for something other than the upfront thoughts of disney fairytales.
