The World's Edge

Sitting at the edge of the world isn't fun,
With your feet hanging off the edge,
The waters of life slipping through your hands,
Thinking back on better days you lay there,
Every drop of water a memory, Every scar a dream deferred,
Every Ounce of energy drained,
Endlessly you gaze above,
Dreading reality you feel your world fall through,
Crashing into your real world,
Striking the walls of your own cage,
The cage you made of desire,
The walls you created from hatred,
Break free from your past,
Be the person you want to be..
