A World That's Lit

Sometimes life can be so bland,

As if it needs a master's hand.

But if we shift our eyes a bit,

We could see a world that's lit!

Lit with laughter, lit with smiles,

Lit with sunlight stretching for miles.

Take the sunset, so calm and sweet,

So many hues of summer's heat.

Magenta, gold, and primrose too,

Colors that express a love so true!

Take the chirping of the birds,

A happy song of no words.

And though we don't know what they say,

I think they're thanking God for the new day!

Yes, life can bring you down,

And it's not to late to turn around.

Pick up your head and lift it high,

All you need to do is try.

It may seem impossible at times,

But listen closely, you'll hear the chimes.

If only we could shift our daze,

We would be oh so amazed!

Amazed at how awesome life really is,

And the blessing of a new day to live!
