A World of Love Shrouded in a Life of Fear

Why do we have murder and violence in the world

We all live everyday in the mindset of fear

Afraid to even leave our front step in the morning

Now a days people think they can handle there problems with the trigger of a gun

And afterwards they try to find compensation for what they've done

Until they realize that in the end, there is none

That's why we walk in fear,

Talk with fear,

We live in fear

Put down your weapons of destruction and pick up your hearts

Learn to love one another like they were your own sister or brother

We might be a people that lives in fear

But we can rise up as a people who stick together

Stop the killing, stop the violence, turn our world of fear into a world of love

Capitvvity of our identities

We are in captivity of our own identities

Trapped within the walls of our own negativity

Why do I need a curtain when my personality should be clear to see?

Hiding my true self from the world, It makes it hard to sleep

I thought that it was us but the curtain splits us into you and me

I'm the true color while you're just what I want everybody to see

Too scared so I deceive

Too afraid to receive

Too ignorant to know that being the real me is what the world wants me to be,

But what if they dont accept my true demenor and everything I want to achieve

It drives me right back behind that curtain while giving that fake image all the power it needs

If only I had the strength in my heart to believe

That getting from behind the curtain and having faith as strong as a tree

Planted by the still waters of the sea

I would have all I need... to be me
