The world jokes on ...

2 Chronicles 13:9 New English Translation (NET Bible)

But you banished the Lord’s priests, Aaron’s descendants, and the Levites, and appointed your own priests just as the surrounding nations do!

Anyone who comes to consecrate himself with a young bull or seven rams becomes a priest of these fake gods

Fake ... stupor

Determined to fail ... determined to fall.

The world jokes on ... in all things small.

No escape from destiny's grip

as all it shows is a useless trip.

Since the Fall ... destruction reigns.

Nothing pure ... all is stained.

“Built on greed” appears in gain.

no more sunshine only rain.

Justice tipped ... to one side.

No more balance ... only fright.

"Truth" is sold for a mite

to enslave the very bright.

Now they rile ... from the mind.

Pulverized sense ... densely grind.

The false hope of every kind

in the existence of the blind.

They will accept ... that fatal view.

selling life ... having no clue.

Successful bound but to live a "mute"

while rattling on about "own" good.
