World Around Me

I sit here waiting.

Waiting for the world to change.

It changes all around me but not for the better.

Never for the better, but always for the worst.

The worst comes in many shapes and sizes.

All the shapes and sizes may be overcome.

The only way to overcome is to achieve.

To achieve you must believe.

Believe that the world can change for the better.

The way towards change starts with me.

Starts with me and ends with you.

You and the world have to want change.

I sit here waiting.

Waiting for the world to change.

The flood is coming over the mountain.

It makes rain seem like a drinking fountain.

The emotion is over whelming.

My head throbs like my brain is swelling.

As it comes we all run.

We fear that there can be no more fun.

It's just a metaphor for our feelings.

After all we are just human beings.

As the flood rushes over me.

I accept it and finally I'm free.
