A Work of Art.

You remind me of art,

Your beauty truly pieces me apart,

But I remind myself beauty lies,

It is beauty like yours that breaks ties,

So sad how such a beautiful face can end me,

Make me happy but it wasn't harmlessly,

I've made a fool of myself and of my own heart,

I truly wanted to believe you were my other part,

But obviously you weren't who I was to idealize,

I shouldn't have been waiting on your replies,

For each one, I reached out further aimlessly,

Your art was nothing more than a novelty.
