Words Cold As Ice

The way he broke my heart,
Was like a masterpiece, an art.
Forever gone was a part of me,
Unashamed was he.
As for I, there was an emptiness,
A knowledge of a change.
He was gone,
And I would have to move on.
The reality was hard to accept,
But I could not contempt.
There was no need for tears,
For realized was my fear.
I thought I could keep him,
But our ending was much more grim.
For me he had no desire.
The words were cold as ice but heated as fire.
Still, my heart singed by the flame,
Will never be the same.
