Words

Who knew words could build stories or fairytales
Or could wipe our miseries saying His love never fails
But what's a word without a feeling
Or without an action to provide it meaning
They're just letters in an order,
Ink on a page,
Nothing there to show why it was made.
But why were we made?
What if we had no meaning?
Like a shark without a fin
A race where no one wins
Chasing the wind
Life never to begin.
We would be filled with
Lifeless hearts beating
Breathless breathing
Always unfeeling
Just useless beings
Just there.
Now I know some of you would say
We were made
To be who we want to
To do what we want to
But is that true?
Why were we made?
We were made to be the action that gives words meaning
To be that reason for that feeling
To be comforted from our worries
We were made to be the fairytales
We were made to be the stories
The tries and the fails
The tales of past glories
The weight of the world on your shoulders!
On our shoulders.
But sometimes words release our boundaries
Because belief mediates reality
Whatever is true
Whatever is right
Whatever is honorable
Whatever is life.
Words are life.
