The Word
In the beginning there was the word, and the word was with God.And the word
was God, and it was mere words that created everything.
Who knew a whisper could shift the unseen into existance, or speak life
into the unliving. It was prenuciation that created nations in an instant.
God is the only being to use his lungs to birth an infant, I am his.
And it is for him that my heart beats, If it was not for spoken word, nothing would be.
On that day of creation, God placed his spirit in me.
So i carry God like a holstered weapon pumping rounds at ignorant influenence.
I am the first mortal man to inhale faith but spit bullets. Until one pierces your
temple, breaks the chain on your noggin and opens your closed mental.
Words are the difference between chains and freedom. Between slave and master,
between truth crafted into wisdom and consuming lies until you digest deception
and vomit misery.
So i push these pressured words from my aching heart until my chest caves
and my body sufferes from cardiac arrest.
Because silence is every white man's priveledge but every black man's prison.
Until his tongue is whip to release nigga unto his children. While speaking blasphemy
over the same black wemon that birthed his existance.
Silence is my enemy, Silence enslaved my great great great grandma'ma and up lifted
slave owners as forefathers.
Silence fools a city into washing down edible cancer with flint water. It upholds
kaos by turning our leaders into martyrs.
But i will not let silence reign with destruction and damage.Silence can't kill a man
that leads his people like Moses and raises a concious like Aaron.
Because in the beginning there was the word, but the was nothing until God spoke it.
So it is a poet that stands between life and death, we are the word.
