Wooden

Location

To a long lost Lover:

I've lived a wooden life for longer than I can remember,

Creaking, cracking, losing leaves and making more.

It's beginning to look like December,

I hope to see you in Spring or before.

The very same Lover:

You've lived a wooden life as long as I've known you,

Strong, solid, weathered, worn, alive and alone.

I hope you can leave the ground you've grown to

I hope you find a home.

The lovers once again:

We live a wooden life together

We break, we bend, we merge and we mend.

Not everything can be forever,

But that's what these tangled roots intend.
