Wondering

1 Corinthians 6:19-20           New English Translation

19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.

Wondering

Powers of darkness, who are they? Disembodied spirits?

Always they want to possess a man’s physical frame

But God, in His greatness, will not communicate

Directly with the body and not so to our shame

My spirit, called “my” own, also won’t communicate.

Directly to the body, for it seems a simple direct law

The spiritual and the natural have nothing in common

But without the spiritual, the body would not exist at all

Exercising faith to believe in acknowledging and accept

That God can be experienced by living and by the truth

For our body constitutes a temple of the Holy Spirit

And that my friend should help to watch our every move

What does the Holy Spirit bring to us from the outside?

Not only joy and righteousness but also Holiness

The love of Christ to our souls and power, health and strength

To our weary bodies, which are weak and sick with emptiness
