Within, and Without

Thu, 01/22/2015 - 03:13 -- Miyahc

Once lost underneath the numerous

Scars and drugs that my lovely

Mother delivered to me in the

Experimental beginning stages of

Life. I was a nomadic, lost body.

As I crossed the limbs of trees

And slipped through the pebbles

Of a nearby creek, I encountered

Death, and he offered me visions

Of things I had never seen.

He had shown me the life I led

In a quick and incredible moment.

I recalled the joyous memories

And the painful ones, as well.

I saw myself alive—I was within.

The following images were extreme

And unexpected. He had shown me the

Life I could have made long ago.

The experience was degrading and

Unimaginably painful.

For, my agonizing ignorance in my

Decisions were what ultimately

Killed me; and not Death, himself.

—Leaving me without.
