Witch's Brew

Wing of bat, eye of cat, warts of toads found dead and flat

Bones of beasts, pirate's teeth

Pulled by Doctor Hartman down the street

Spine of crow and a warewolf's toe

Big and hairy don't you know!

Can of worms, covered in germs

Watch how they wiggle and squirm

Hair from a dog and legs of a frog

Snatched while he sat perched upon a log

Now stir the pot very carefully with a crooked apple tree stick

Until the potion is nice and thick

Then scoop some out with a wild boar snout

Serve the brew scalding hot to your guests

In a rotting raven's nest

Who will be the first to sample my special brew?

Don't worry children, it won't harm you... he he he

Now take a sip or a taste, but remember,

don't dare leave any to waste.

What a pleasure it's been!

I'll reappear next Halloween!

I wrote this poem for a Halloween Party I gave in Lehighton Pa about 2018.  I dressed as a glamorous witch with a big long nose and a beautiful dark green witches hat with spiders on the netted veil and big feathers upon it.  My friend Kim's children Brody and Brielle decorated one room for the children and they did a great job!  The next day it was like a bomb went off inside and in the backyard.  We had a nice bonfire and lots of food and drink.  I kept finding glow sticks everywhere for at least a month after!  Now that's a party!
