Winter over the knee boots

These boots weigh me down

Like cement blocks stuck to a drowning person feet They are so heavy that every muscle in my legs ache with exhaustion I feel every time my foot lands on the floor that it won't come back up for breathLong golden zippers line the sides of the ever going material Teeth sharp and shiny as if they are trying to each my hands as I scramble to get them upSharp jabbing sounds chase my fingertips like a piranha catching dinner The rough metal scratches against my skin making them feel raw and exposed Shiny black faux leather stares up at me with such hungerNo matter which way I turn my feet, it's gazing up at me with a taunt as the light bathes it
