Winter

It's sunny here at half past noon.

I know that I'll be leaving soon.

I just can't help but feel inside

that without you I might have died.

This time of year just gets me down.

The winter's chill an icy crown.

Emotions sinking like a ball

and yet I've still got far to fall.

Like an angel with a broken wing,

there is no hope that I can bring.

Like a dodo set to soar,

I wish I could accomplish more.

But sadly now my time has come.

I must admit, these days were fun.

I'll meet you when the sun comes out.

When spring is near I'll be on route.

With winter nearly close at hand

and nothing productive really planned.

I'll just lay in bed and think of you,

at least until my sky turns blue.

Don't miss me while I'm gone dear friend.

Our relationship will never end.

So long as we have memory,

we'll have nothing short of eternity.
