Wind's Window

Fri, 01/31/2014 - 15:55 -- smm1372

My eyes flutter open
As the breeze begins.
Curtains rise up from the floor,
Horizontal.
Moving as waves
Approaching the shore.
My hand ascends,
Cris-crossing at my shoulders.
They move from shoulder to elbow
And back again.
As suddenly as it starts
The waves cease,
Curtains fall.
My hands fall too,
In that same moment.
Resting at my sides.
My eyes flutter close.
Yearning for the rush
That the sudden wind creates
Once again.
