The Window of Wisdom
Location
Breathe
Breathe to the rhythm of jazz
Inhale the meaning of believing
Exhale the meaning of worry
Breathe Easy
Relax
Let your mind wander like ocean waves
Toward the shores of serenity and
Away from anxiety
Roll away from lands already charted
The hands on your clock are constant
Their palms calloused from crawling
Crawling away from from fears and
Battles that were long over fought
And left their mark
The fault lines in your palms
All tell me stories of all the erosion
That your tears have made
On hands that shake and tremble
That are cracked like New York sidewalks
They break us.
When things fall they're broken
People are not puzzles
We’re not that easy to fix.
Fresh glue and stuck-o don’t heal scars. Only hide them
We have to remember that life is funny thing
We all fall
We all have to crawl before we walk
And all have to walk before we run
We all have to fall before we stand back up.
Band-aids are made for healing
Chocolate is made for soothing
But there is no better medicine for the soul
Then waking up every morning and inhaling the meaning of believing
That today is going to be a good day
Remember to follow your train whistle heart
It’s loud.. and something annoying.
But you just have to sing along.
Because your ears will never remember how much they liked the sound of music.
Until the world has gone silent.
Plagiarism floods the minds of current generations
And seeps into the veins of the future
Let’s change the alphabet
So that “B” and “U” stand together hand and hand
And delete the copies of yesterday
Remember to live
Life is forever going
And there isn’t enough time to read all the books in the world
Not enough time to shake hands and learn everyone’s stories
But there is enough time to smile at life.
Somethings are easier said than done
And writing is just a poor translation of spoken word, You cannot see the poet or composer
But we don’t have to fall like childhood dominos
We can stop this…
If only we look through the Window of Wisdom
