"Will Write For Food: One Job May Change My Life"
…Something to live for.
Prove it in expressive detail.
Our existence is a privilege,
But it is selective to those in ways unbeknownst to the cerebral cortex.
How much does freewill weigh?
How many reps does it take to surpass life's burdens?
Protein is necessary for spiritual growth,
However, steroids are the heroin of hardship and achievement.
I need union representation simply to live,
My fellow occupants can help with my wage negotiations.
I clocked in, in 1989,
Since then I have been represented by a page association.
My purpose in life is to write and serve humanity,
I am obligated by genetics to provide thought provoking customer service.
Presently bound by a supervisor whose presence is beyond human comprehension,
I perform my work duties computed from several clusters of purpose.
I am a poet.
Drafted words are designed delicately similar to the life and death of a solar system.
Staff development in front of microphones,
Deadlines reached on publication dates,
Workers compensation denied at the peak of writer's block,
My probationary period is in the flesh,
So I require references based on standing ovations.
I am a poet,
This job isn't meant to change my life...
I was simply hired to motivate the change in others.
