wild fire

You light me
Crackling with purpose
For yourself.
Burning with joy
Nevertheless I am useful
But where do you go?
Staring past my flames
To see my passion
But to abandon my nature.
Seated, distant
I am so cold but continue burning
Come closer.
Why do you keep walking away from me?
Why are you leaving me?
Why light me to spite me?
Why do you have that bucket?!
You extinguish me.
Useless weeping ashes that
You have reduced me to.
Have I made you complete?
Has my ashes brought upon a lovely memory of my extinction?
Good. As long as you burn with the light of my flames.
I am finished here.
Until you need me once again.
