Is it possible to walk the way

that the Lord Jesus has gone

and not ... to crawl and pray

in the ability to move along?

 

To be on my knees cannot hurt

with my face close to the ground

it could bring me closer thus

that in Jesus I’ll be found?

 

If I walk straight without direction

pleased with the progress that I make

“glorified” in my own satisfaction

waving at others I want to take.

 

As my spiritual account is growing

mountains of the faith I’m saving up

as nothing in my heart is showing

that I’m truly spiritually bankrupt

 

Presumptuous sins are now my calling

and so to bring the hurting in line

thinking I’m getting to be more Christ-like

as I now am leading the lost and blind.

 

Is this now the way of my choosing

hiding from self ... the one I am?

Feel like a winner being a loser

not like others ... who survive on spam.
