Why should I fear?

Location

Why should I fear the night,

that cannot touch

this burning light?

Burn, burn, burn,

burn it all;

do your best.

Why should I fear death,

that comes in quiet

bereft of breath?

I am immortal,

don't be afraid;

light the pyre.

Why should I fear disapproving words,

that aim to peck

like spiteful birds?

They are nothing,

compared to a phoenix;

just rise again.

Why should I fear my faults,

when they are not flaws?

We are humanity,

created as we were meant to be.
