To say most people despise poetry 

Would not be a lie.

For me I find peace in the pen.

I get this sort of high.

With so many trials and tribulations, poetry

Helps me say bye bye.

Just every now and then

I need to let my emotions fly.

My mind finds relief while yours only finds poetry.

The release is better than a cry.

My words show where I have been,

And that is Why Poetry and I.
